We all have different talents

One thing to remember if you need a proofreader to correct spelling and grammatical errors in your important document, is, as my granddaughter aptly expresses, that “we all have different talents.”

One day, my five-year-old granddaughter announced to me that everyone has different talents. She then proceeded to inform me of all our respective talents as perceived by her. I was delighted to learn that I am good at cooking, while other members of the family can perform astonishing running feats, for example – and I can’t . . .

My granddaughter had a valid point, which made me think. We can’t be good at everything we do, and more importantly, there is many a creative writer who has imagination and literary talent but has difficulty with spelling and grammar. This is really where a good proofreader comes in so useful – so that that piece of original and imaginative work is polished and perfected, eliminating all those annoying errors that distract from the writer’s message.
