Translators need proofreaders too

by: Garry Pierrepont (9 May 2017)

I have been to Europe three times over the past month and have read a few translations of languages, such as Spanish, German and Italian.

Translators do a great job, and it may not surprise you to hear that the German translations into English were probably the best I came across – but they were for museums and had to be of the highest quality.

Some of the other translations were in magazines, brochures and on the internet. While I wouldn't dream of being a translator, translators are like any other writers – they need the services of a proofreader to turn their work into the best written English.

If you are translating into English, why not come to WriteItClearly.com to have your piece proofread – and edited, if necessary? In that way, we can work together to ensure our readers have the best possible translations to read in English.

Ref: 254 I'd love to proofread museum information. And I've seen plenty that needed proofreading...
