What have you got planned for the New Year?by: Garry Pierrepont (3 January 2018)I know that some people find this time of year a bit depressing. The excitement of Christmas and the New Year has passed. People are going back to work, to a desk full of outstanding work (or the virtual equivalent in the 21st century). The weather's bad, the kids have got to back to school, and the Christmas decorations have to be out back in the loft. But ignore all that and take the alternative point of view! It's a time to start anew; a time for optimism after last year's misery (isn't “last year” always miserable?); a time for New Year's resolutions. It's also time to plan for the year. The decorating, the holiday, the garden... What about writing that novel you've always meant to write? Stop putting it off and get started. Think it, plan it, sketch it in rough, write it. And when you've done that, send it to us for proofreading. We'll be right here waiting for you. We love a fresh start, an original novel, a New Year. Have a good one!
